29th June 2023. Organisers of the music festival that takes place in Byron Bay have announced changes to their line-up for the event scheduled on 21st - 23rd July 2023. New artists are Danny Brown and Thelma Plum who replace Slowthai, Rainbow Kitten Surprise and Lewis Capaldi. They join Lizzo, Flume, Mumford & Sons, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, J Balvin, Sam Fender, IDLES and Little Simz. Tickets are still available for anyone interested.

28th June 2023. Organisers WHP in partnership with Teletech and Lo-Fi, have announced their line-up for the indoor XXL night scheduled for 7th October 2024. Artists confirmed include Kobosil, 999999999, Reinier Zonneveld, Vladimir Dubyshkin, I Hate Models, DJ Heartstring, KI/KI, blk., Nina Kraviz, Paula Temple b2b SNTS, Shlømo b2b Sara Landry, Adrián Mills, Azyr, Basswell, Billy Does, blk. and many more. Andy Robertson - Tuesday 27 June 2023

26th June 2023. Armen van Buuren, organiser of the iconic EDM music festival has announced that the event will move from its current home in Utrecht to a new residence in Rotterdam. The move will also see an expansion to a full weekend which will include Q&As, panel sessions, pre-parties and demo-drops. The festival is scheduled to take place on 23rd - 24th February 2024 at Ahoy in Rotterdam. Tickets are available from 28th June 2023.

21st June 2023. Organisers of the music festival taking place at Glynde Place in East Sussex have announced additions to thier line-up for the event scheduled on 30th June - 2nd July 2023. 19th June 2023. A new EDM music festival has been announced by electronic music record label Werra Foxma and will take place in two Derby venues, Deda and Dubrek Studios. The event is scheduled for 23rd March 2024 and artists confirmed include Altern 8, Dohnavùr, Maria Uzor, Bethan Lloyd, Cholly and Warrington-Runcorn New Town Development Plan. 16th June 2023. Organisers of the music festival that was to take place in Bristol have announced the cancellation of the event scheduled for 16th - 17th September 2023. A statement on their website reads “It is with heavy hearts and deep regret that we cannot go ahead with this year’s Tokyo World Festival. There are too many growing challenges with using Eastville Park this year that cannot be overcome. We’ve worked hard with the Council and Police but we have not been able to find workable solutions to the challenges of this location to keep the event safe and secure. All tickets will be refunded at face value.’’

14th June 2023. An Irish twist on the Bavairan Oktobrfest has been announced taking place in ten locations across Ireland during September and October this year. 13th June 2023. Organisers of the iconic American music festival have announced dates for next year confirming the event will take place on the weekends of April 12th -14th and April 19th - 21st 2024. The festival will remain in its usual location of the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California. No line-up has been announced but tickets will go on sale from June 16th 2023 with General Admission prices starting at about $500.

The 17th edition of Tomorrowland will revolve around the theme ‘Adscendo’ and artists confirmed include Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, Claptone, Eric Prydz presents HOLO, John Newman, Lost Frequencies, Nina Kraviz, Purple Disco Machine, The Chainsmokers, Tiësto and Timmy Trumpet plus many more. 6th June 2023. Organisers of the music and arts festival that was to take place in Scone Palace near Perth have announced the cancellation of the event scheduled for 11th - 13th August 2023. In a statement on Twitter organisers said “We are sorry to have to deliver the devastating news that we can no longer go ahead with Otherlands Music & Arts Festival this year due to poor ticket sales, rising production costs and loss of grant funding.’’ Organisers said ticket buyers will be refunded within 14 days.

30th May 2023. Ireland’s Health Service Executive (HSE) has launched its drug harm-reduction campaign aimed at music festival attendees across Ireland. The campaign includes a drug monitoring program where festival-goers can anonymously submit drugs to experts through voluntary “surrender bins,” real-time social media alerts and a media campaign. The HSE found trends of concern last year including high potency drugs, 12 new psychoactive substances and 4 drugs which had never been identified before in Ireland.
