6th May 2022. Organisers of the 3-day festival have announced additions to their line-up for the event scheduled for 28th - 30th July 2022. New artists include Ash, Sam Ryder, Edwyn Collins, Christone Kingfish Ingram, Vistas, The Academic, Kawala, Blue Rose Code, Matilda Mann, Lottery Winners, Uninvited, Dadi Freyr and Daytime TV. They join previously announced headliners Nile Rodgers, Van Morrison, Emeli Sande, Passenger, The Fratellis, Shed Seven and Stiff Little Finders. 5th May 2022. Organisers of the 4-day festival recently announced their comedy line-up for the event scheduled for 26th - 29th May 2022. There will be 18 comedians including Scott Bennett, Lindsey Santoro and Jack Gleadow. 4th May 2022. Organisers of the 2-day festival celebrating its 10th anniversary have announced their full line-up for the event scheduled for 1st - 2nd July 2022. Artists will include Tony Hadley, The Proclaimers, ABC, Maxi Priest, Toploader, Peter Hook & The Light, The Real Thing, Bad Manners, Toyah and Heatwave. Organisers of the popular 4-day music festival held in the Brecon Beacons, Wales have announced their second wave line-up for their 20th anniversary event scheduled for 18th - 21st August 2022. New additions include the National Orchestra of Wales, El Goodo, John Mouse, Joe & The Shitboys, Tune-Yards, Sofia Kourtesis, Mary Lattimore, Nia Archives and The Long Blondes plus many more. Andy Robertson - Wednesday 20 April 2022

New Event

20th April 2022. A new seaside festival organised by Freckfest and North Ayrshire Council will take place at the Irvine Harbourside and Beach Park and is scheduled for 23rd - 24th July 2022. The festival will provide top-quality live music and outdoor activities both on and off the water including an aerobatic display by the Red Arrows. The music line-up is yet to be announced but will include household names according to organisers. Details of tickets will be announced in due course.

19th April 2022. Organisers of the Dutch Prognosis Festival have announced the launch of a UK edition scheduled for 22nd - 23rd April 2023. Few details are known yet about possible headliners although the location of the event is expected to be in London. The home event took place last weekend in Eindhoven and featured Katatonia, Leprous, Enslaved and The Ocean.

11th April 2022. Organisers of the Newcastle music festival originally scheduled June this year have released a statement on their website stating that the 2022 event will be cancelled. They now plan to hold the festival next year scheduled for 26th - 28th May 2023. The statement cites an oversaturated market and ongoing economic crisis as the reason for the cancellation. Early bird ticket holders can apply for a refund or can carry over validity to 2023

New Event

29th March 2022. A one-off festival has been announced scheduled for 4th April 2022 taking place at the The Old Blue Last in Shoreditch, London. New Noise will raise money for the Help Musicians charity and features the ‘A Side' Conference with specialist speakers discussing a wide variety of impactful topics and the ‘B Side’ Festival which presents a music label fair, acoustic acts, and a headliner gig. 28th March 2022. A new edition of the National Whisky Festival has been announced for Inverness scheduled for 2nd July 2022. The new edition joins the Glasgow and Aberdeen editions. The event will feature numerous brands of whisky along with cocktails by renowned mixologists, experimental brewery collaborations, food vendors and exclusive, in-depth whisky masterclasses. In addition there will be a specially curated bill of live music from celebrated Scottish musicians. Tickets go on general sale from 28th March 2022 for anyone interested.
